About Princess
Meet Princess: The Royal Tale of a Calico and White Majesty
Once upon a time, in a kingdom not far away, a beautiful calico and white kitten was born. She was christened Princess, for her regal bearing and majestic demeanor were evident from the very start. Princess found her first castle through the loving hands of her adoptive family, who welcomed her into their hearts and home with open arms.
However, as stories of the feline realm often go, Princess's fate took an unexpected turn. A twist of destiny led her to the bustling lands of BARC, where she arrived as a stray. Despite her noble lineage and charming personality, she was not reclaimed by her previous court. Thus, the elegant Princess is once again in search of a new castle to call her own.
Princess is a year and five months old, and she carries herself with the grace and poise befitting her name. She dreams of a kingdom where she can reign supreme as the sole feline sovereign. Her royal decree is clear: she desires a home without other cats, for she is a monarch who prefers to rule alone.
This majestic cat has a penchant for comfort and luxury. She loves to lounge on the finest couches, often stealing the best spots and leaving her loyal subjects-otherwise known as her humans-to find another place to sit. When night falls, Princess likes to take over the bed, ensuring her humans have a cozy spot at the end while she sleeps in regal splendor.
Princess is now ready to bestow her love and affection upon a new family who will cherish her as the royal treasure she is. If you have a kingdom fit for a princess and are ready to be enchanted by her grace, come meet Princess at BARC. Let her reign in your home, and you will live happily ever after.
To book a meet and greet with Princess please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
