About Elsie
NOTE: Elsie needs another confident little furkid.
We have had numerous meet and greets with Elsie, and conversations stating that she is timid and will take time to adjust and bond.
She is very bonded to her carer and her one particular furkid in the house.
The foster carer cannot adopt her!!
We need the right person, that doesn’t just say what we want to hear?!
If you want a rescue dog to bond to you instantly, it’s not going to happen.
It’s a process and time and compassion.
Little Elsie is a King Charles cavalier.
She turned 2 in March of this year.
Elsie came to us around the same time, not well and very anemic.
We found out she had a litter of pups in February and had to have a emergency c-section as she had gestational diabetes. All her pups were put on another nursing mum.
She was very thin, and looked like she had a eye injury?
In our care we have had her at a eye specialist with great news. Her eye had received the injury a while before, but had healed. Specialist recommended a very affordable eye drops (Amazon $28)
for her to continue with for maintenance to protect both eyes.
The anemia was due to untreated worms.
So we have treated her for worms.
Her eye is great. She has gained 600g but could do a little more, which should be easy, as she LOVES her food.
Elsie has been sharing her home with 3 other ex breeding female dogs and absolutely loves been in her little girl pack. She finds the bond and connection extremely fulfilling.
Elsie has bonded very strongly to the older cavoodle in the girl pack, so we are hoping to find her the connection with another furkid.

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
