About Luna
Do you know and love herding-type dogs? Have you got a large secure backyard perfect for running and playing? Are you up for spending your days with an adorable and loving dog by your side? If so, then please allow us to introduce you to Luna!
Luna is a vibrant and playful dog ready to fall in love with her new family. She is an intelligent and active companion with an enormous heart. She's always up for a game of fetch or treat-filled adventures. She adores ‘working’ in the form of training sessions and learning new skills in a positive environment. She would love to build a strong relationship with her new person through rewards-based training and enrichment activities that suit her personality (examples include Collie balls/Treibball, beginner/fun herding, agility and even dog dancing).
When the day's fun is over Luna loves to snuggle up for an indoor relaxation session! She is a devoted companion and expresses her affection uniquely, not by licks or hugs, but she’ll nudge your hands for pats and loves sitting or standing against you.
Like many dogs of similar breeding, Luna prefers a big personal space bubble when interacting with unfamiliar dogs. She insists on ‘fun police’ rules about social interactions and prefers run and tag play, not rough and tumble play or high-impact body contact. Luna would be happy living as a solo companion, but could potentially live with a compatible dog. The most suitable match would be a socially healthy, older and sensible herding type dog or a smaller, calm and independent dog.
Luna travels well in the car and isn’t phased by noisy environments. With a calm and dog-savvy owner by her side and plenty of opportunities for high-intensity exercise without the distraction of unfamiliar dogs, Luna will be living her best life!
Luna is ready and waiting to give all her love and be loved back by her new family. She's an amazing, intelligent, playful and energetic companion who's waiting to light up your household with her radiance.
Luna's adoption fee includes a post-adoption consultation with a qualified and approved trainer. This consultation will provide you with expert guidance to help Luna transition into her new home, ensuring a happy and harmonious life together.
Enquirers will also have the opportunity to learn more about Luna's wonderful personality and ask any questions they may have during a pre-adoption tele-consult with our Program Behaviour Specialist.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
