Introducing our sweet and handsome distinguished gentlemen Rex <3
Rex was surrendered through no fault of his own and desperately searching for his second chance in life.

At 7.5 years old he is finding shelter life very stressful and has sat here patiently whilst watching his canine neighbours all get adopted.
Rex has been at the shelter for 5 months now and unfortunately shelter stress is getting the better of him, we would love to see him in his forever home soon.

Rex would appreciate a calm and patient household where he can decompress and adjust to his new environment at his pace. He is most suited to an older household with no young children as he can sometimes be a little unsure of new people at first, but it doesn't take him too long to warm up into a big cuddle bug! He's an affectionate man who loves to lean into you for a big fuss, but often doesn't realise his own size!

Rex is not a fan of his canine companions, he believes he is human and not dog, he will need to be the only animal in the household and ideally go home to an area that isn't too dog populated as he does like to keep himself to himself and not interact with other dogs. He can become a little reactive and bark towards other dogs when he is feeling uncomfortable or they are too close.

Despite being 7 Rex is an active boy and he is a working breed so does require a spacious new home with a big backyard to call his own, but obviously always welcomed inside as he does love a cuddle!

Rex LOVES his toys, tennis balls & all things soft! He'll play fetch for hours & finds comfort carrying his toys around.

We have no doubt that once Rex is out of the stressful shelter environment he will be a different dog, he is such a sweetheart and is a favourite among the staff.

In hope of getting Rex a home sooner his adoption fee has been reduced to just $50.
