About Peony - Located in Preston
Dearest friend, I am Peony, a tender-hearted and affectionate creature, ever in search of your presence and the warmth of your touch. My heart is a garden in bloom, each petal unfurling with love and devotion. When you are near, I am drawn to you like a blossom to the sun, my gentle cries a sonnet pleading for your caress or a soft cuddle.
Like an adoring puppy, I shadow your every step, my devotion steadfast and true. The moment you sit, I shall grace your lap, curling into a purring bundle of love, my spirit entwined with yours. Playfulness dances within me, and every toy is a delight, a verse of joy in the poetry of our shared life.
At times, I may seem possessive of my cherished toys when other cats are near. But fear not, for I am but a gentle poet at heart, my bravado mere words without malice—I would not harm even a fly.
So, if your heart seeks an affectionate, attentive companion, let it be known that I, Peony, am here. Together, let us weave a tapestry of love and tenderness, each day a stanza in the beautiful poem of our lives.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
