Kai

Kai may be small in size, but he has a huge heart and an incredibly sweet nature that wins over everyone he meets.

His start to life was rough — found living alone on a vacant property, without his mum or littermates. Somehow, this solo kitten survived thanks to the kindness of the big, friendly leader of the small group of stray cats he lived among. It’s likely that caring cat gave Kai his only chance at survival.

Since coming into foster care, Kai has blossomed beautifully. His trust in humans has grown steadily — and now that he knows how good pats and cuddles are, he’s making up for lost time! Once he’s comfortable, Kai turns into a purring machine, regularly seeking out his humans for affection. Kai i weary of strangers so his new family will need to give him time to settle.

Kai is currently being fostered in a busy household with children, cats, and dogs, and he handles it all with gentle grace. He gets along effortlessly with everyone and especially adores his little foster brother Bluey. The two have formed a lovely bond, and it would be wonderful if they could find a forever home together. If you don’t already have a resident cat, adopting Kai and Bluey as a pair would bring double the love and joy.

While Kai still enjoys the occasional play session, what he loves most is simply being near his humans. He’s happy to keep himself entertained or curl up in a sunny spot when things are quiet. He doesn’t dominate — he befriends. He’s truly the kind of cat that brings calm and quiet affection to any home.

Kai is the last of his foster family still waiting for his forever home. He’s a beautiful, sweet, and soulful boy who just needs a calm, loving environment and a kitty companion to continue to thrive. Kai would need a home with another cat or a cat friendly dog.
