About Maki
Maki is go go go, and then sleep sleep sleep, purr purr purr.
When she's in action mode there's no stopping her. She loves to play with toys and chase her brother and sister and generally run around and get into everything.
Then she tires herself out and will come for a cuddle. When you have her in your arms she purrs like a steam train.
She's fine with other cats, particularly if they want to play with her, and she's learning to love the dogs in her foster home. She's given them a few cautious sniffs. They seem OK so far.
She's great with the kids in her foster home and when she's in her quiet mode, doesn't mind being carried around.
Maki would suit pretty much any household that would like an adorable new addition.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
