About Dusty
Dusty is about as adorable as they come, with gorgeous markings to match his gorgeous personality!
He is always first at the window or door to say hello when he hears you coming.
He loves scratches and pats and he will snuggle up with you, but he prefers if he can initiate cuddle time; he's not (yet?) a fan of being picked up.
Dusty is a natural athlete and a very playful little boy. He was showing tremendous coordination at just 3 weeks old. He loves everything he can tag and bat around- string, balls, laser pointers, toy mice (and probably real mice, too).
Dusty can also be a couch potato, though, as he loves watching TV and snacking on cat grass.
If you are interested in meeting Dusty, please send an enquiry telling us all about you and your home/family and we will get in touch about setting up a meet-and-greet.
We also have his brothers and some other beautiful kittens available, you can see some photos of them here:
https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1042859
All of the kittens in our care have been desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
They are social, playful, cuddly, healthy, and litter trained.
Priority will be given to those interested in adopting two kittens (or to those who have another young cat at home), though we will not necessarily turn down those who are only able to adopt one. We understand that everyone's situation is different.
Please read up on 'single kitten syndrome' to see why we prefer for them to go in pairs. :)
Meet-and-greets will take place at a foster carers' home in Moonee Ponds. Please be mindful that our carers are volunteers who often have families and busy lives; they will accommodate as best they can.
All of these gorgeous little ones come from street cat colonies; their mums were pregnant when they were taken into our care and the kittens were born indoors in loving homes. The mums were desexed, socialised, and adopted by the amazing families who brought them in (yay!!).
The male kittens' adoption fee is $350 each; the female kittens are $400 because of the higher cost of their surgeries. These prices are firm.
All of our adoption fees go toward saving more precious little lives (there are so, so many who need to be rescued).
Adoption details
If interested in a cat that is available for adoption, we require you to fill out an adoption application, and one of our lovely foster carers will give you a call to organise a time for a meet and greet.
Please note: As we are all volunteers with limited time up our sleeves, we prefer all interested potential adopters to fill out an application, rather than send an enquiry, as this helps us know more about you and what you are after, and saves us all a lot of time!
Apply here for Dusty: https://form.jotform.com/sugarandspicecatrescue/cat-adoption-questionnaire
If forms aren't for you though, please SMS us (the number is in the link) and we can call to go through the form over the phone.
