About Himei
*In foster care in Alexandria, Sydney*
Himei came to Maggie's as a solo kitten, weighing only 400 grams. Her name - meaning 'scream' in Japanese - is a nod to her persistent babycat meows on arrival in foster care!
A stunning black smoke long-hair girl, and a social butterfly, Himei will definitely need a playmate and buddy in her forever home. She's extremely active and adores climbing her cat tower, and will do anything for a wand toy :)
Himei's also been very welcoming to any new kitten fosters she's met, and often starts the zoomies or playfully wrestles with them! She's confident around the resident cats and dog too, making her ideal for a home with other friendly pets.
Affectionate and snuggly, Himei prefers to sleep on your chest or pillow (or head), and has a strong, comforting purr. She melts into pats, rolling over and showing off her soft belly. She craves human interaction and often clambers up her humans' pant legs for cuddles!
Like all Maggie's pets, Himei is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I missed my first foster sibling so much when he got adopted that my foster parents had to find me MORE kitten friends, so another nice cat in my new home is an absolute must!
I’m also relaxed with the resident dog, allowing her to lick and cuddle me, so if you have a confident dog who'll respect my space when I need it - that’ll work too :)
I love to be up high more than anything, so I'd really like a good cat tree or some windowsills to perch on. Oh, and you'll need to be cool with my presence in the bedroom, as I crave your company at night!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I definitely get the kitten zoomies a few times a day, but also enjoy a good nap and a cuddle. If we could nap together that would be awesome!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I haven't met any kids yet, I’m a confident and curious cat. I think children of at least primary-school age (5+) would be a good match, as long as they're patient with me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'll need a feline friend due to my playful nature and strong desire for companionship.
My canine foster sister Celeste, an 18-month old-mixed breed, is pretty cool! Living with cat-savvy dogs who'll be nice to me might be fun.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
