Fifi & Floss

Meet Fifi and Floss, two sweet sisters with unique dilute calico coloring, looking for a foster-to-adopt home. All their vet work is complete, and they have been in a foster home however due to their carer moving, they looking for a long-term home that can finalise their socialisation with the rescue's support.

Born outdoors, Fifi and Floss's early experiences in the wild have made them truly appreciate the safety and comfort of a home, making them ideal, easy indoor cats. They are also happy with each other's company, making them ideal cats for those who are away from home daily.

Fifi and Floss are still shy around humans, but they value the security people provide. In their initial foster home, they would come out to the sofa to enjoy a quiet evening, lounging and watching television with their human companions. They haven’t yet discovered the joy of pats and scratches, so it’s important to let them set the pace of interaction in their own space and time. Providing a secure retreat is essential when the stimulation becomes overwhelming, allowing them to retreat and re-asses the situation to determine it's safe. After all, don’t we all understand that need? Once they feel comfortable again, they emerge again to acknowledge their human friends.

With this gentle approach, Fifi and Floss will open up sooner rather than later.

Fifi and Floss are seeking an adult-only home or one with teenagers who enjoy the rewarding process of helping shy cats come out of their shells. While they haven't been tested with dogs, they could likely adapt to a feline-friendly canine given their flexible nature. They have been fostered in a multi-cat household and are accustomed to living with male and female cats of all ages, making them adaptable to a variety of homes.
