About Toby STA012558
Meet Toby, a guy who values the finer things in life: trust, companionship, and of course, a good meal. While Toby isn’t one to rush into relationships, once you've earned his trust, he's a true friend through thick and thin.
Toby is wise beyond his cat years, and he's mastered the delicate art of trust. For him, it starts with building the relationship. He likes taking the time to get to know you, and his love isn't freely given - it's earned. Once Toby decides you're the one, though, there’s no going back. His loyalty runs deep, and your bond will be one of mutual respect and affection.
Don't let his initial reserve fool you though, the secret to unlocking his love? Food, of course! Toby likes to eat, and he's confident when it comes to claiming his bowl. He takes his meals seriously, and you can count on him reminding you when it's his chow time.
Toby's ideal home would be with adults who can appreciate his mature and introverted nature. He’s not a fan of being the center of attention, preferring to share moments of tranquility and relaxation. Night-time TV sitting on the couch together are right in Toby's lane.
Your life with Toby will be one of shared contentment. Understanding each other's spaces, exchanging affections at a comfortable pace, and simply sharing each other's company will be the hallmark of your bond. It won't take long before you realize that the love of a guy like Toby is worth the wait. He is the quiet companion you never knew you needed but won't want to live without.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
