Although something in his previous life has left him worried about new people, once he knows you, Clifford is a loyal, playful, affectionate, and goofy dog who bonds deeply with his people, this you'll be able to see with the bond he shares with his trainer (and the undying love she in turn has for him). He thrives on routine and responds well to training, especially when toys and treats are involved. Clifford has learned to trust and love those who introduce themselves properly and will shower his family with affection once he feels safe.

While Clifford can be reactive around other dogs and unfamiliar people, he's made strides in overcoming these challenges. He's looking for a home in a quiet area, where he can enjoy peaceful walks and playtime without the stress of city life. Clifford would do best in a home without other dogs or small animals, and with someone who can continue his training and provide a calm environment. Those on Clifford's team are also offering post-adoption training sessions to his new teammates as a part of his adoption
