About Miami
Miami aka Mimi is ready to choose her forever family. She is a sweet well adjusted girl that loves everyone she meets.
Her forever family will have to keep up with her walking, she absolutely loves her food and was quite overweight when coming into care. She is a dream on the lead and loves car rides. You will be in for a treat when she does her little dance when she sees you have her lead. Her walking pace is slow and steady, she loves to smell everything.
She is fully toilet trained and uses a doggy door or pee pad when needed.
She has been in care with other small dogs with no problem, but untested with cats. FM works from home but she has been good the times she was left at home with the resident dogs. She isn’t a big barker but will let you know when someone dares come to close to the front gate.
She is a great mix between independence and cuddle bunny.
Medical notes
Medical notes for Miami
7 year old Miami is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
She came into care with high grade patella luxation in both knees and was overweight. She has now had both patellas repaired and has healed well. She has also lost weight and it is important she watches her waistline as this will help with her legs.
Dogs who have had orthopaedic surgery are likely to develop arthritic changes as they age, so we would recommend starting Miami on a joint support regime such as supplements.
Miami has also been affected by allergies in the past, and these are likely environmental and may or may not be recurring. Just something to keep an eye on.
