Beautiful Bobo is a happy boy, who is seeking his new family. Bobo has attached quickly to his foster carer and shows all the signs of a loving lap dog although he is also enthusiastic about life. More of a rural-raised boy.
He is house trained and currently being crate trained, which he has taken to like a boss. After a brief settling period in his temporary digs, Bobo is sleeping well through the night in his crate. He is polite around the house and, while he would much prefer to be cuddled up with you on the couch, is responsive to house rules and will sit on his mat and adore you from afar if he must. Bobo has some basic training, knowing how to sit, stay and go to his mat. He is comfortable being picked up and travels well in the car.
Bobo has been showing some anxiety in foster care, which is understandable given his life changes. As he learns the routines in his new home, we are confident he will settle well, provided he has the human interaction and exercise he needs. He is a bright and curious boy, who loves getting physical with his toys and is enthusiastic about going for walks. He is improving with his walking and responds well to verbal command ‘stop’ which his carer does at every road crossing. He sits his bottom down and waits for the ‘good job’ and we are off again. He has had a couple of quick encounters with dogs his size and has been good and ready to get to know them.
Bobo does love children and always tries to interact with them. On a couple of occasions some neighborhood children have enjoyed his adoring manner and he rolls over to encourage tummy rubs.
Bobo will benefit from some further loose lead training and access to games and toys such as puzzle feeders to help him build his confidence. Given his eagerness to please, further training should be pretty simple.
Bobo is likely to do well in a variety of households where he has human company, love and a couple of walks a day. Bobo is new into our care and we will update his profile as we get to know him better.
Bobo is not cat tested.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
