About Birdie
Please meet our beautiful “Birdie”
Birdie is one of a litter of 6 pure bread kelpie pups. They are working line kelpies and have a good worker mum and dad.
Birdie is a confident, social, loving, and loyal girl. She is very clever (typical kelpie) she loves people and other dogs. She loves to play and go for walks, sniffing and exploring her world. She is an energetic girl who will need her family to provide her with exercise and mental stimulation. Birdie is crate trained and toilet trained (with reminders)
If you are looking for a worker Birdie has huge potential, she shows true kelpie instincts. If you are looking for a pet you will need to consider dog sports or agility for this smart little pocket rocket. She is just amazing!
It is a condition in our adoption agreement that all our dogs are to be taken through obedience training to ensure they reach their full potential.
IF YOU CAN TICK ALL THE BELOW BOXES, PLEASE POP IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION FOR US TO CONSIDER.
• You have an extremely large secure yard or acreage.
• Birdie will not be alone for more than 6 hrs
• You will enrol Birdie in obedience training.
• You will allow Birdie to be part of the family and will allow her access to indoors with you.
• You WILL provide her with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer will be considered. Please provide the name of the obedience club you will be attending.
PLEAS NOTE: if you provide basic details only, we will be unable to process your application sorry.sm
Adoption details
All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
