About Spock - Located at Vets On Parker in Templestowe
Greetings, potential human companion. My designation is Spock, and I am a feline who has recently come to appreciate the numerous merits of human interaction. While my nature is inherently logical and composed, I must admit that I derive great satisfaction from snuggling up in a warm, cozy bed and engaging in a resonant purring that emanates from deep within my being.
In the realm of recreation, I find wrestling with my siblings to be a most stimulating activity. Such interactions not only provide physical exercise but also reinforce the bonds of companionship. Additionally, I take great pleasure in snuggling with them, as well as with the humans I am beginning to trust.
I am particularly fond of receiving cheek scritches, an experience that I find most agreeable. On occasion, should I find your presence agreeable, you may be fortunate enough to have me perch on your chest, nestling under your chin as you engage in the human pastime of watching television.
In conclusion, I am Spock, a sweet boy on a journey to fully understand and embrace the warmth and companionship of humans. If you seek a logical, yet affectionate feline to join your household, I am most certainly up to the task. Live long and prosper, my future friend.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
