About Billie - Located in Templestowe
Alright, folks, listen up. The name’s Billie. I’m not just any cat—I’m the cat. If you’re looking for a laid-back, lazy furball, keep walking. But if you want a cat who brings energy, sass, and a whole lot of personality, then you’re in the right place.
First off, let’s talk about food. I’m very food-oriented, which means you’ll never have to eat alone. Cooking something? I’ll be right there, giving you the eye, letting you know I’m ready for a taste. Snuggles on the couch? Absolutely. I’m all about those cozy moments, curling up next to you, purring away like there’s no tomorrow.
Kids and other cats? No problem. I’m fine with them. I’ve got this outgoing nature that makes me a hit with everyone. Dogs? Haven’t met one yet, but bring it on. I’m ready for anything.
I’ve got energy to burn. I love to play, zoom around the house like a rocket, and wrestle with other kittens. My curiosity knows no bounds—I’m a sticky beak, always poking my nose into whatever’s going on. You got something new? I’m on it. Need a laugh? Watch me in action.
So, here’s the deal. You bring me into your home, and I’ll bring the sass, the love, and the non-stop entertainment. I’m Billie, and I’m ready to rock your world. Are you ready for me? Let’s do this.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
