About Harlee
Meet Harlee, the dynamic diva ready to dazzle her way into your world! At just 1 year and 8 months old, Harlee is a delightful mix of Husky and Dogue De Bordeaux, blending charm and charisma in every wag of her tail.
House trained? Absolutely! This girl knows her manners and is ready to be your furry housemate extraordinaire. Plus, her previous experience living with cats means she's already got a stamp of approval in the feline department. With a slow intro, she'll be purring in harmony with your kitty companions in no time.
Harlee isn't just a four-legged friend; she's a furry chatterbox! She loves a good chat, whether it's about the birds she saw outside or the dreams she's dreaming of chasing with you.
But wait, there's more! Harlee is a certified cuddlebug, spreading warmth and affection wherever she goes. Her loving nature will wrap around your heart like a cozy blanket on a chilly night.
When it's playtime, Harlee is all in! She's toy-obsessed and always ready for a game of fetch or a tug-of-war with her squeaky pals. Get ready for endless giggles and tail wags!
Harlee's zest for life doesn't stop there. She's an active girl who thrives on daily adventures. Whether it's a stroll in the park, a hike in the mountains, or a jog around the neighborhood, she's your go-to gal for outdoor fun.
Of course, every superstar pup needs a bit of training to shine even brighter, and Harlee is no exception. With a little guidance and positive reinforcement, she'll be mastering new tricks and manners like a pro.
Looking for a family companion? Harlee adores kids who are dog-savvy or over the age of 6. With her gentle demeanor, she's the perfect playmate for your little ones.
However, it's important to note that Harlee is still figuring out the doggy social scene. She's unsure how to interact with other dogs and would benefit from some training in this area. For now, it's best to give her some space to build her confidence and skills.
So, if you're ready to add a whirlwind of fun, love, and excitement to your life, look no further than Harlee! Come meet this bubbly, happy girl and get ready for a lifetime of adventures together.
To book a meet and greet with Harlee please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
