About Nevada & Rhaegar
This handsome couple is Nevada & Rhaegar. They are 6 and 9 year old Great Danes needing a new home. They’ve had the best of care and now due to a family break up they are no longer able to stay with their mum as she is needing to relocate. They have spent the last years loving property life, running free each day is their highlight. Nevada has plenty of run and play, the more senior Rhaegar is more content with a little frolic, sniff and chew of a stick.
Nevada and Rhaegar have lived with children and are happy to have kids around as part of their family. Nevada is a good girl on lead, but Rhaegar tends to pull a bit and be a little unsure of new people and dogs when out and about. He does settle given a chance and the right guidance. This giant couple would need to placed with two paw parents so each has a dedicated handler while walking which is so important when adjusting to a new life.
We feel a continued rural lifestyle would be a very easy transition for Nevada & Rhaegar as they are going to be rusty around other dogs and a busier lifestyle. But we’re happy to be open as with an experienced home who take things slowly and commit the right amount of time to helping them adjust, they could do perfectly fine in the suburbs.
The couple are inside/outside dogs who are toilet trained (can hold for many hours and easily overnight) and non-destructive.
These guys have been exposed to cats and are inquisitive however not aggressive and so with the right owner and cats, they could integrate successfully. They are well behaved around stock but never left to roam free unsupervised with no fencing between.
Nevada, the mantle girl is a very affectionate and emotional girl, under your arm with a nuzzle at every chance she can get and with her size a slightly inconvenient lap dog when you’re trying to watch TV. She’s quite sensitive and will shy from any aggressive behaviour. Her owner says she can be protective and is a super loyal girl. Her desire to be near her person makes recall on the property very good when running in the open paddocks. She hates the hose but adores swimming in the dam.
Rhaegar the blue boy is a docile lap dog and, in his home, very calm and quiet in nature. He will back up and sit on your lap if Nevada has left any room! The opposite to Nevada, he loves the hose but hates the dam! He’s a big fan of car rides and his little frolics with Nevada. Rhaegar will stare deep into your soul, is very sensitive, aware of his human's emotions and does not enjoy yelling or aggressive behaviour.
It would mean the world to Nevada and Rhaegar’s current owner if they could stay together as that’s how life has always been for them. Please get in touch for a chat if you think you can see these two taking up space on your couch.
