About Possum
Introducing Possum!
Possum is a Domestic Short Hair born approx 27th March 2023.
When Possum was brought in to us she was very fearful of humans & very shut down. After a few weeks of gaining her trust, she turned into a completely different cat and has been much more forthcoming with her human visitors.
Possum can still be timid when meeting new people, but if you move slowly with her she warms up to pets very quickly. She will smoosh her face into your hand, roll onto her back & reach her paw out to bring you in closer to her.
As she is still learning to trust humans, we are recommending a home with no small children as they will be too overwhelming for her.
Possum has been socialised with other cats at the facility but she can be picky with her friends. While she is currently housed with two other cats who she gets along with, she definitely enjoys having her own time & space away from them as well. Possum could be suitable to live with another independent cat, however we feel she would prefer to be the spoilt only "child" at home.
Possum will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an inside cat only.
Possum is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.
If you think you could be that furever family for Possum, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Her adoption fee is $200 & this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Possum is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
