Are you ready to welcome an extra-special companion into your life? Jimby is a gentle, endearing soul in a five-year-old Kelpie's body.

First things first, Jimby is wobblier and more uncoordinated than your average dog thanks to a suspected neurological condition and some arthritis in his back legs, but that doesn't stop him from getting on with it! He also lives life with no sound - noisy highways, fire alarms and fireworks don't faze him.

Despite his challenges, Jimby is a true gem who wouldn't harm a fly. He thrives on human interaction and company. He's friendly, gentle, affectionate, and wears a big grin on his puppy-like face when he is surrounded by humans of any kind. He will happily saunter over to you for head pats and ear scratches. Jimby's favourite activities include curling up beside you on the couch and nourishing all the neighbourhood trees on a leisurely stroll.

Jimby gets along with other dogs. He is obsessed with the resident cat and wants to play but misses important social cues from her thanks to his lack of hearing, so any cats must be rock solid dog savvy. Due to his coordination issues Jimby would not be suitable for a house with small children as he is likely, however unintentionally, to bowl them over.

Jimby is looking for his people who will be a reassuring presence. He would live his best life in a household where people are home more often than not, will work with him to continue his house training and have a backyard for him to trot freely around in.
