On Hold
About Milky way - Located in Northcote
Oh, hello there, darlings! I'm Milky Way, and I'm looking for a kind and gentle human to share my little world of serenity and love. I'm a princess with a heart as soft as my fur, dreaming of a future filled with endless cuddles and warmth.
You'll find me the perfect companion to relax with, whether it's curling up in a dainty loaf (I'm quite the artist at that) or resting peacefully on your lap while you’re busy. And trust me, my sweet charm is sure to have you saying "aww" more than once.
I adore the cozy comforts of both cat beds and human beds. I'm generally a well-mannered lady, showing restraint during playtime and keeping things tidy by diligently covering my little "presents." I may be a bit shy when we first meet, but it doesn't take long for me to warm up and settle in.
While I get along splendidly with other cats, my true preference is spending one-on-one quality time with my human of choice. Oh, and a little secret—I’ve taken an interest in hair styling, so if you fancy a touch of glamour, let's chat about a makeover! Limited appointments available, of course.
So, if you seek a serene and sophisticated princess to add a sprinkle of elegance and grace to your life, look no further. Let’s embark on a journey of love and companionship together!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
