About Snickers - Located in Northcote
Hello there! I'm Snickers, and I'm here to bring some playfulness and fun filled mischief to your life! I'm on a quest to find my gentle side, but right now, I can't resist a good romp with my toys. When playtime is over, you bet I’ll come find you for some pats and maybe a warm lap to curl up on.
I’m a big fan of cozy spots, whether it’s a human bed or my cat bed. I’m also on ghost patrol! No wardrobe goes unchecked on my watch, so you can rest easy knowing I’ve got your back.
When it comes to scratching posts, I’m a bit of a connoisseur. I love the tall ones I can climb, but any post is fair game. My heart’s big enough for all of them! I get along great with my siblings and other cats, and when I meet new humans, I’m open-minded and quick to warm up.
Oh, and my toys? I love to show them off! Watch me race through tunnels and make baskets like it's nobody's business. I even like to add my personal touch to cardboard boxes with my teef—gotta keep things interesting, right?
I make the vet proud with my good behavior, so if you want to impress your vet, I’m your guy. Let’s go on some adventures together!

Medical notes
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
