About Ginny - Located in Northcote
Greetings, potential companions.
Allow me to introduce myself: I am Ginny, a sophisticated feline with a penchant for grace and an inclination for selfless nurturing. My journey began with the birth of my own offspring, followed by a brief interlude at an animal shelter where I was unexpectedly assigned the task of raising a group of unrelated kittens. With an unwavering sense of duty, I took to the task, transforming them into a quartet of notable felines worthy of any respectable home.
My disposition towards other cats is one of dignified openness, even in the face of their unease or distrust. I remain an exemplar of composure, maintaining harmonious relations with those around me. My soothing purr and delicate chirps of delight reverberate through any room, imbuing all within earshot with a touch of levity.
As a connoisseur of the art of play, I possess acrobatic prowess and swiftness that would astonish even the most seasoned observers. An invitation to my inner circle of close companions grants you the privilege of enjoying head butts and whisker tickles, and, if I find you deserving, perhaps a gentle scratch to my belly.
However, do not mistake my appreciation for affection as overfamiliarity. I am discerning in my approach, respecting personal boundaries and choosing to maintain an equilibrium of autonomy and companionship. I prefer to exist as a companion beside you, not atop you, preserving our mutual sense of space.
So, if you seek a relationship with a seasoned feline who embodies both wisdom and youthful appearance, one who will sit beside you as a peer and offer an air of calm sophistication to your life, you have found your match.
Yours with understated elegance,
Ginny

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
