Meet Ned, a gorgeous big boof head German Shepherd who is 2 years old. Ned is looking for a new home due to a change in his owner’s circumstances and is desperately seeking a family that will love him unconditionally.
Ned is a friendly, goofy boy that loves everyone he meets, Ned gets very over stimulated when he first meets new people and will jump up constantly out of excitement. Ned doesn’t have much in the way of manners and will need to build up his impulse control and have consistent boundaries in his new home.
Ned may accidentally knock over children and will jump on them during playtime, Ned is best suited to a home without small children and will need to be taught manners and managed around visiting children so that he doesn’t accidentally hurt them, Ned is looking for a home where everyone is over the age of 10 years old.
Ned is very much a big puppy that hasn’t had enough training or time put into him, Ned needs an experienced owner that is committed to training and who won’t be scared off by a boisterous young dog. Ned responds well to treats and is very clever and keen to learn, he would thrive with an owner that has strong leadership and handling skills that can motivate and engage Ned to keep his focus and teach him the necessary skills he needs to be a good citizen. Ned is not suited to a first-time dog owner.
Ned loves attention and affection from those he loves most, a big cuddler, this boy wants to be wherever his humans are, Ned is ok being left alone, however when his humans are home, he would love to be inside with them, following you around the house and snuggling up with you wherever he is allowed to.
Ned loves to play, whilst he is interested in toys, he loves to play chasey, human engagement is what he thrives on. Ned has lots of built-up energy, he hasn’t been walked much lately and finds himself bored and without an outlet to release his energy. Ned will need to live an active lifestyle, including daily exercise; but most importantly, Ned will need to be provided with mental stimulation through enrichment games or puzzles and training sessions to keep his quick mind working.
Ned is very inexperienced with other dogs; he hasn’t met many in recent times. During his assessment, Ned showed little manners with another dog and was very boisterous and rude in his attempts to interact. Ned has not shown aggression, but is totally inexperienced, and if not managed and taught manners around others, he may find himself getting into trouble. Ned will need to take introductions and integration with other dogs slowly, he will need further training in controlled environments so that he can work up to this, and is best suited as the only dog in the home for the time being.
Ned has not been tested with cats or other small animals.
This gorgeous goofball has been left to his own devices, whilst he needs to learn manners and will require training in his new home, Ned has a wonderful temperament and is as friendly and as loyal as they come. With time and effort put into him, Ned will make a great companion, being set up for success with mental and physical stimulation and clear boundaries, the possibilities are endless for this boy.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
