WANTED: A home where this young handsome kelpie x can be his own squashy-loving self.

Norgay takes the kelpie brand seriously. He’s a mix of bouncy-busy cheeky and cosy snuggle time. He is an energetic, curious, affectionate kelpie x. Prone to the ‘too much love is never enough’ approach, he thrives in the company of his people (as well as other dogs and even cats at couch time).

Norgay’s gentle nature is complemented by his enthusiasm for life. He’s expert at adapting his doggie interactions, whether playing ‘you chase me’ with an older dog or tug of war with a younger dog. He’s progressing well with lead walking (a favourite pastime), but will need further work if he’s going to be an exercise buddy (straight-line strolls are not fully conquered). He’s regularly described as ‘handsome’ when we meet people out on our walks.

Norgay is responsive to positive guidance, and quickly learnt how to use a doggy door. He also understands that he needs to sit and wait for his food and is gentle when it comes to taking treats out of your hand. He also listens to commands, such as when he’s told to leave the resident cats alone. He has a healthy appetite and is partial to a banana or avocado when he can.

Norgay can be timid when he first meets people, but he’ll be your loyal ally once he feels comfortable. He has lots of love, smiles and snuggles to share.
