About Ducky
Meet Ducky, a sweet and timid Dachshund girl who's just turned 11 months old. Despite her shy demeanor, Ducky is full of potential, poised to flourish with a consistent caregiver who can provide her with abundant love and patience.
Ducky needs a new family who can put time into basic lead and obedience training. With this, she's sure to blossom into a confident and well-behaved pet. As Ducky is great with dogs her own size, she'd thrive in a home with a similar-sized companion to build up her confidence. However, she does get a little frightened around larger dogs, so a home with smaller pets would ideally be the most comforting environment for her.
Interestingly, Ducky portrays an intriguing relationship with cats; she typically ignores them but appears slightly apprehensive in their presence. This petite darling would thrive in a cat-free home, with a family that can provide a reassuring and patient environment for her to grow.
Ducky is a hidden gem waiting to sparkle with a little polishing. She's a wonderful companion-in-waiting who just needs some time, patience, and training to reveal her true potential. Her charming traits, together with her eagerly wagging tail, make her a delightful addition to any loving family. If you're ready to immerse in the rewarding journey of shaping a timid girl into a confident lady, then Ducky is the perfect partner for you.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
