About Max - Located in Melton West
I am Max. In the realm of affection, I stand unmatched, bringing forth an abundance of warmth and gentle overtures to all I encounter. Though I maintain a degree of caution when faced with new surroundings, I am swift to settle, offering boops and purrs aplenty, even if it means intruding upon your lap as you attempt to work.
My natural curiosity and playfulness know no bounds, delighting in the discovery of wondrous contraptions known as 'toys'—the laser pointer, in particular, provides endless amusement. When it comes to dining, my etiquette is impeccable, consuming all that is offered with grace and leaving nary a crumb behind.
Since embracing the comforts of indoor life, I have discovered my voice, engaging in spirited conversations with you regarding my desire for pets, playtime, or a well-deserved treat. When it is time to unwind, my heart seeks the solace of your lap, where I shall curl up contentedly, purring away the day as you lavish me with cheek scratches. This, my friends, is the most splendid way to conclude the evening.
If you seek a companion of noble character and unwavering loyalty, your search ends here. With my boundless affection and charming presence, I am poised to bestow upon you much love, laughter, and purrs. Shall we embark on this delightful journey together? 💕
Yours with grace,
🎩🐱 Max the cat, Esquire 🐱🎩

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
