About Peggy
Meet Peggy, an adorable one-year-old Dachshund who's ready to bring joy to her new family. A little on the timid side, Peggy may initially come off as shy, but with a bit of patience and lots of love, you'll soon witness her blossoming into a confident, lively companion. Despite possessing the typical Dachshund streak of spunkiness, Peggy is generally calm and quiet, healing your days with her peaceful presence.
As with any young dog, Peggy still has much to learn about the world and is seeking a supportive family who can impart some basic and lead training to her. She's eager to please and quick to learn, so with a little time and patience, you will see beautiful developments in no time.
Peggy has a penchant for barking at stimuli but rest assured, it's not an aggressive bark but rather an alert one. She also is fantastic with fellow small dogs, making her an ideal candidate for multi-dog homes with small breed companions which would also help her adjust to her new surroundings. Though a bit intimidated by larger dogs, she'll surely get used to them with the right introduction and environment. Peggy does, however, retain a curiosity and wariness towards cats, so a feline-free home would be ideal for her.
In all, Peggy is an intelligent and sweet-natured dog who requires a bit of nurturing to reach her full potential. With that in place, she will develop into a loving, compassionate companion who lights up your home and makes everyday life just that bit more special. If you have a cozy, secure environment and a heart full of love, Peggy would love to be a part of your family.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
