Meet Boof! Our energetic and boisterous German Shorthaired Pointer. Boof came to GAWS as a surrender with his sibling Pebbles, with whom he was repeatedly escaping his yard and terrorising local chickens. Due to this, Boof will need to be rehomed with someone that has expereince with his high drive working breed, that can provide adequate and focused excersise and enrichment specific to his needs. He will also require tall, adequate fencing and is best suited to a home without cats or pocket pets. During his assessment period, Boof has shown he is a happy go lucky, bouncy boy who loves the company of a well matched social, playful female dog to play chasey with. Boof will need help with ongoing lead and manners training long into his adult life, to ensure he is a happy and well rounded addition to the family.
