About Elara
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
I enjoy dozing in the morning sunshine that streams into the windows or snuggling up with the other cats for a nap. I will come and sit next to you on the arm of the chair in the evening sometimes. I am oddly not so shy in the mornings when it is breakfast time!
I am quite shy but given some time to adjust I would settle into a new home and become a lovely companion. I have come such a long way and now enjoy being stroked and enjoy chin rubs. I am fitting into the family so well. When adopted, I do come with a two week trial period which would give my new owner time to let me settle in and see if I fit into the family okay. I just need a bit of time and encouragement to show my sweet nature.
My Ideal Home:
I think a fairly quiet home would be most suitable for me as I can be a little shy. I'm not really a kitten who likes to be carried around, preferring to sit near you and enjoy pats on my terms. Older children (12 years and older) would be okay. A couple with no kids or a retired person would be a perfect fit for me.
What is Known About My Background:
I came into care through another rescue organisation. I am healthy and have had all vet work completed. I am ready and eager for my new forever home.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I get along well with other cats, always respecting the adults. I haven't been introduced to dogs yet,but given the right introduction I think I could adapt. Perhaps a less boisterous dog would be most suitable.
