About Mabel
Name: Mabel
Age: 5
Breed: Domestic Shorthair (DSH)
Gender: Female
Color: Black and White
About Me:
Hello there, potential admirers! My name is Mabel, and I'm a five-year-old beauty with striking black and white markings that will surely catch your eye. If you're seeking a feline companion who adores human attention, look no further! I thrive on affection and love nothing more than cuddling up with my favorite humans.
Personality Traits:
I'm not just a pretty face; I've got a personality to match! While I may have a sophisticated air about me, I'm also incredibly friendly and sociable. I get along famously with other cats, so if you have a furry friend at home, we'll be sure to hit it off. However, I do appreciate my space, especially while settling into a new environment.
Ideal Match:
I'm searching for a loving family with kids who are over the age of 8 and understand the importance of giving me my space when needed. While I adore attention, I also value my alone time and appreciate a respectful environment where I can relax and unwind.
Interests:
In my free time, you can find me lounging in sunbeams, chasing after feather toys, or indulging in a cozy nap. I'm a firm believer in the power of a good chin scratch and will purr contentedly to show my appreciation.
If you're ready to welcome a stunning, affectionate companion into your life, look no further than yours truly, Mabel. Let's make memories together that will last a lifetime!
To book a meet and greet with Mabel please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
