About Groot - 7 Year Old Wolfhound X (Trial)
Introducing the most loveable and gentle giant...Groot
Some of you may remember this amazing boy as the pitiful emaciated dog that was found in Killingworth, NSW and ended up in the pound. From the sad sight he was back then in February to the healthy and exuberant boy he is today!
Groot is a large male Wolfhound mix aged around 7 years old with plenty of love to give to both people and dogs. He is dog social with both older and younger dogs and comes across as quite submissive.
He is an affectionate boy and has been an absolute joy to foster and to watch him flourish into the outstanding companion he is today.
He is looking for a home where he can gravitate between outside and inside and spend his days chasing balls, catching the sun and keeping you company.
He does attach himself to his caregiver but is also happy doing his own thing especially when it comes to gnawing on a juicy bone. He happily plays with toys especially ones that squeak.
Being a low energy dog, he would be ok on his own providing his people were home more often than not or having another low energy dog for company.
Groot has some vision impairment issues but it doesnt seem to hinder him.
He is very voice sensitive and wouldn't do well in a home with a loud/yelling environment.
He enjoys his walks and walks well on a lead. He is also crate and toilet trained.
He will need minimum 5 foot fences due to his height.
