About Montclaire
Meet Montclaire - a resilient, furry genius mumma who brought up her kittens on the streets of Sydenham.
Montclaire's babies were rescued at around 7 weeks of age, but Montclaire was so smart she evaded capture for several weeks! It took the cooperation of neighbours who managed to lure her into their shed to be able to get her into care. After desexing and microchipping, she managed to escape foster care and it took a military precision operation to capture her again. Luckily, since then, she has realised inside life is much more comfortable and she has shown zero interest in even entering the outside cat run since returning to care. Like we said, she is smart!
We have committed to finding an amazing home for Montclaire. The neighbours who caught her would have dearly loved to keep Montclaire but their female cat had a strong dislike of her. It was quite sad because there appeared to be a beautiful friendship between their boy cat and Montclaire, who would smooch through the security screen door.
Montclaire loves head scratches and treats so she quickly learns to enjoy the company of new people she meets. She is very easy going, preferring relaxing above doing zoomies like other young cats would. Despite her rough start to life on the streets, she is very well behaved at the vet and rapidly socialised.
Other that her lovely nature, how can you resist a cat that looks like batman?!
