About Duke
Meet Duke, the vibrant and energetic 25kg female 12mo Labrador x Staghound. She enjoys playing fetch, running in open spaces and exploring the outdoors. She is intelligent, curious and eager to learn new tricks.
She will thrive in a household with experienced owners who can provide consistent training and plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
Due to her high energy levels and enthusiasm, she isn't suited to a home with small children, so we'd recommend children over 10yo.
Her ideal home would be one where she can enjoy daily exercise and playtime, and where she'll be a cherished companion.
Duke is a fast learner and responds well to positive reinforcement training. She is familiar with basic commands and is eager to please. Previously Duke wasn't invited inside the house due to the small children, so we'd like to see her included as part of the family inside her new home.
As a young dog, Duke will benefit from ongoing socialization and training to help her mature into a well-behaved adult dog. Being only 12mo she may require patience and guidance as she settles into her new family life.
Duke is ready to bring joy and adventure to the right family. If you have space, another dog to play with (if you work fulltime hours) and experience to give Duke the active lifestyle she needs, she could be the perfect companion for you! Please note she is untested with cats.
Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
