About Mya
**215 DAYS TO CHANGE A DOG**
HD2787 Mya has changed so much since she arrived in care. She was scared of so many things we weren't sure she would ever find the right home, but now she has become so much more confident. Even her eyes look different. She's much more settled, confident, happy. Feels safer in the world, and her experiences in the last 7 months in foster care have been much more positive than wherever she came from.
She has always loved women and children, and now she has warmed up to men as well, even the strange ones that make lots of noise and turn the house inside out
She spends a lot of time on her back relaxing, apparently her belly is her good side! Always up for a belly scratch.
She's come so far! The last time her carers were away she went to a friend's house, a new experience. She did really well and came home even more confident.
She's such a happy dog. She loves her people. Especially little people. New people, women can usually touch her in their first meeting.
She managed in the house with 3 trades cleaning the air-cons! The tradies were excellent dog-people and moved out of her way, or into a room if she got caught in a hallway between them. She confidently followed them around. Didn't want them to touch her yet but it's all positive compared to hiding in the yard like when she first arrived.
She's fine to spend the days at home alone. She's happy to see you when you return after a long day, but she always is!
Mya is a medium sized dog of mixed ancestry, and she's ready to start on her new adventure.
She responds well to her name, has polite manners in the house and around food, she is great on leash and will even wait inside the gate when its open.
She does love her treats, which makes them a great motivator for training and she is a playful and athletic girl.
