About Barbie
Barbie is a beautiful black German Shepherd who was a stray and found her way to a local shelter.
Barbie is currently being trained and socialised by Bear the Dog Behaviourist at Ebenezer.
Barbie has all the fantastic hallmarks of the German Shepherd breed - intelligent, energetic, and cheekily playful in the best possible ways.
Being a young dog, her ideal new family would be one that has the time to spend with her and continue her training.
Barbie hasn't been tested around cats or pocket pets or young children.
The most important thing to Barbie is that she becomes a part of your family, included in family activities, adventures.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the energy to give me a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Barbie"
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Barbie. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Barbie is microchipped and vaccinated. Barbie may be younger than the animal shelter estimated, we think she is probably under 1 year old..

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
