š¶ļøš« PRESENTING CHILLI š«š¶ļø
If you havenāt guessed by my name, I am a spicy lady and I am looking for a very special family that would be willing to take a chance on an ex-street cat.
Nature
I came into care pregnant and gave birth to my kittens. Itās been fun in my foster home, but I would love to find my fur-ever home where I can settle down and continue developing my confidence.
I have free run of the living area, which suits me fine. When I am in small spaces, I freak out a bit and do a fantastic impersonation of Spider-Man. I have a little cubby hole that I like to sleep in. I am very stealthy and follow my Foster Mum around the house. I like to watch her. Sometimes, she doesnāt even know I am there and then⦠surprise!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Because of my spiciness, I would be better going to a home without children.
Despite living in a cat colony before coming into care, I have not shown any interest in other cats. I am not aggressive towards them, but I havenāt sought out their company either. I will eat my dinner with the older cats before going back to my cubby.
There is a calm older kitty at my foster home who likes to sit next to me, but I do prefer to be on my own. I would be OK going to a home with another cat that is friendly and calm as I am fine with the golden oldies at my foster home.
We have a dog at my foster home, and he does freak me out a little.
Likes / Dislikes
I like being able to roam the house as I get freaked out when I feel trapped. I have been more confident with my foster parents in the living area. I will watch them from afar and listen to them when they talk to me.
I donāt like being touched. I used to swipe my foster parents if they tried to touch me, but now I just hiss. They have started giving me treats, like roast chicken. I hear my Foster Mum making a sandwich and I will come out to watch her. But I am still too scared to accept food (I want it though).
My PURR-fect home would be with a family who can accept me for me, understanding that I may not enjoy human affection. My home might have a confident cat for me to be friends with, or I might be OK on my own.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
