About Iggy
Hello there! Who am I, what am I like, lets start with a fun rap…
Hey there, I'm Iggy, the pup with a heart of gold,
Snuggly and affectionate, never gets old.
With playful antics and a wagging tail,
I'm the cutest dog, without fail!
Good to train, I'm a clever little guy,
Learning new tricks, reaching for the sky.
But amidst all my training, I'm still a hoot,
With a face so cute, I'm hard to refute!
So if you want a companion who's sure to delight,
I'm the pup who'll make your days bright.
With snuggles, love, and endless fun,
I'm the perfect match for pretty much anyone!
See I love to have fun, can I tell you more? I'm a male pup who adores being around people - I'm a big smooch! I have moderate energy levels and enjoy a good independent chill out session, but I do absolutely love outings to the park. There's just something about the fresh air and open space that gets my tail wagging.
I've also made some furry friends at the park, both big and small and I love to play. I get along with everyone but I’m still young and learning my manners at the dog park!
When it comes to training, I'm a star pupil! I absolutely love my treats, and I'm always eager to show off my skills. I already know how to sit on command, and my recall is very impressive for a young pup if I do say so myself. I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to toilet training, but I'm making good progress!
One thing you should know about me is that I'm incredibly loyal. Once I've found my special person, I stick to them like glue. I've already developed a strong bond with my human foster brother. I just can't help but want to be by his side all the time - I've even been known to sit outside his bedroom door and give a little sorrowful whimper if I'm not let in.
If you're looking for a loving companion who will be your loyal and obedient sidekick and shower you with loving affection, then look no further than me.
Adopting a puppy is a big responsibility.
It's important to understand that training is just as important as providing food, water, and shelter for your new pet. Having an untrained puppy can lead to behavioral problems that can make the pup difficult to live with. Of course, having an obedient pup is much more rewarding for both pet and owner.
Training your puppy is a vital part of their development. Starting early is key, as puppies learn and adapt quickly. Training will help your pup understand commands and expectations. Furthermore, it will help socialize your pup, making them better equipped for interacting with other animals and people.
During puppyhood, you should focus on teaching basic commands like sit, stay and come. Consistency and repetition are key in training, and it is important to reward good behavior with treats and praise. This will help reinforce positive behaviors and discourage negative ones.
It is also important to provide your pup with plenty of exercise (once fully vaccinated). Not only will this help with physical development, but it will also help keep them mentally stimulated. This will help promote good behavior, as well as help your pup get rid of excess energy.
In addition to basic commands, you should also consider training your pup in more complex tasks. These can include tricks, agility, and even protection training. Not only will this help to sharpen your pup’s obedience, but it can also be great fun for both of you.
Training your pup is an important part of preparing them for a happy and healthy life. It is important to start early and to be consistent in order to ensure success. With patience and dedication, you and your pup can learn to create a bond that will last for years to come.
So, if you’re ready to welcome a pup into your life, consider adopting today. You won’t regret it!

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
