About Mama Cat
URGENT: Help Needed for Townsville's Cat Crisis
Townsville is currently facing a cat crisis. It is estimated that 30 cats are euthanized every day due to a lack of space in our shelters—over 10,000 cats annually. The local animal shelter is at capacity, and local rescue groups are reluctant to take in cats older than six months due to difficulties in rehoming adult cats.
We urgently need your help. If you have space in your home and your heart, please consider adopting an older cat. By adopting, you not only save one life but also make room for another cat in need.
Meet Mama, a remarkably brave and serene cat, that is ready to shower you with her gentle love and affection. Mama came into care after major surgery left her and her young kittens in need of a safe place to recover. Fast forward two months and Mama has made a remarkable recovery and has been given the all clear by her veterinarian for adoption. All of her kittens have now gone to their forever homes leaving Mama eagerly awaiting hers. Mama is looking forward to starting a new chapter brimming with loads of cuddles, playtime and warm purrs.
Her journey so far speaks volumes about her commendable resilience and trust in us. Throughout her recovery she allowed us to care for her without any fuss, proving how truly patient and loving she is. Her calm demeanor is infectious and her friendly disposition melts hearts. With a slow introduction, the transition into your home will be a breeze for her and you're bound to cherish the warm affection she provides.
This lovely lady possesses an admirable liking for the simplest of life's pleasures. A sunny spot to curl up and nap in, a cuddle with her family, and a cozy corner to call her own; these make Mama the happiest.
Can you open your heart and home to this beautiful girl? Remember, by welcoming Mama, you're not just getting a pet; you're gaining a new family member who will bring an endless supply of love and happiness.
Medical notes
Mama is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm preventatives.
