About Hera
Hera wants to find a special human she can love forever. She would love a quiet home, so a small place with one or two people she can call her own would be perfect.
In her foster home she loves her foster mum and the resident teenager who's room she has made her own, but she can find other people a bit scary. Noisy kids are really scary! When they come over she finds a hiding spot and stays there until she's sure they've gone away! Open drawers are a big favourite for hiding (and they're comfy too!)
But with the people she loves she is the most affectionate and beautiful little cat. It's actually hard to get photos of her because the moment she sees the people she loves she wants to rub around their ankles, and sit on their lap and get pats. And then she purrs and purrs and purrs.
She would be fine with a small home. She has the whole house at her foster home but she sticks to the teenager's bedroom and only ventures out if she's sure there's no scary kids there, and she thinks there might be food available. She also pops out occasionally to play with the other foster kitten in the house. She's great with other cats.
If Hera sounds like she could be your life companion, then get in touch. One day she will be the love of someone's life.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
