About Max
Meet Max, a 5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a calm and easygoing personality. Max is the epitome of chill; he loves human companionship and stays relaxed, making him a perfect companion for someone who appreciates a laid-back lifestyle. While he's great with people and manages his excitement well, Max prefers the company of female dogs and may need a proper introduction to ensure compatibility. Unfortunately, Max struggles with a phobia of storms and has a history of escaping, necessitating a home with secure 6-foot colorbond fencing to keep him safe.
Currently, Max is underweight and has found it challenging to gain weight due to stress in the shelter environment. He needs a compassionate owner who can patiently help him on his journey to a healthier weight. Max would thrive in a calm household without cats, where he can relax and follow his owner around, simply enjoying their presence. If you're looking for a steadfast and serene buddy to share in quiet moments, Max could be your perfect match.
Adoption details
We are not open to walk ins, appointments by booking only. All households members must be present before we can adopt an animal out.
As our goal is to adopt animals out from the shelter into loving homes as fast as possible, multiple bookings may be made for the same animal.
We are not able to hold any animals for any reason.
As such, there is a possibility that the animal you may have found a forever home before your appointment. If this is the case we will inform you by phone call as soon as possible.

Fri: 12.30pm-3:30pm
Sat: Open Fortnightly
May 4th 9am-12:00pm
May 18th 9am-12:00pm
Sun: CLOSED
For serious enquires we are able to accommodate to outside our normal appointment hours. Please call us to arrange a time.
