About Samson
At two and a half years old, Samson is an endearing young Dachshund with a heart as vast as his personality. His sweet and timid nature draws you in, and once he gets comfortable, his unique spirit truly shines.
While Samson might be a bit shy initially, his transformation is heartening. Once he feels safe and secure, he becomes a loving and loyal companion who will never leave your side. Patience, love, and a few kind words are all that's needed for Samson to trust you and consider you a friend.
A dog of small stature but big heart, Samson gets along well with other dogs his own size. It's true that bigger pooches can be a little intimidating for him, and with cats, he's somewhat cautious. But with time and proper introductions, he can learn to accept them as part of his social circle.
Samson is a naturally calm canine, and although stimulus may occasionally lead to a bark or two, he's generally peaceful. A bit more guidance and training, especially with lead walking and responding to basic commands, will surely help him grow into a more confident dog.
A serene and patient home would be the perfect environment for Samson. Space where he has plenty of time to adjust and become comfortable is what this charming young boy needs. It will also enable him to learn at his own pace, gaining the confidence and trust that all pets deserve.
So, if you're someone who appreciates the little things in life and has a soft spot for Dachshunds, Samson might just be your perfect match. A calm and patient household will bring out the best in Samson, allowing him to fully blossom into the loving and devoted companion he is at heart.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
