About Delilah
Say hello to Delilah, our lovely little Dachshund dasch-ing into your hearts. This 5-year-old charmer, waving her tiny tail, is seeking a devoted new family where she can give lots of puppy love.
Delilah may seem a bit timid at first, but under that cautious exterior, lies a warm pet seeking companionship. With a bit of patience, you'll discover a loyal and loving friend, quick to offer paw-shakes and tail wags. She'll gradually unfold like the petals of a blooming flower, becoming more comfortable and interactive as she gets familiar with you.
She is a bit of a stimulus barker – a bit of chatterbox if you will – but fear not, that is simply her way of communicating her excitement or her apprehension. With a bit of basic training and leash work, she'll pick up great habits, making her even more delightful.
Delilah interacts well with dogs her own size, but she is a little intimidated by larger, noisier canines. She pays no mind to cats, slightly shy of the feline species, concentrating her interest on toys and treats.
Her ideal new family would offer lots of love and patience, helping her conquer her slight anxiety. And rest assured, your efforts will be rewarded. Over time, Delilah will show her true personality - a bundle of joy - that will make a great addition to any family.
With her faithful eyes and sweetness of character, Delilah is just waiting for the opportunity to bring more warmth and love to your life. She's a little lady with a whole lot of love to give! Delay no further, come meet Delilah today, and let yourself fall head-over-heels for this adorable dachshund.
Medical notes
Delilah had a dental scale and clean under GA. She had 6 teeth extracted due to periodontal disease. Reduced tear production in both eyes, will require liquid tears and regular monitoring. She otherwise passed her vet check
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
