Mildred

Hey there, I’m Mildred, like Mildred Hubble from the Worst Witch. I always thought it was a bit of an unfair title, because Mildred might not have been the best at spells and potions, but she was definitely clever and the bestest friend anyone could have at Cackles Academy! Loyal and kind, sweet and funny but maybe a little shy and awkward.

And I get it, I really do. I’ve never tried magic, but I’m probably not very good at potions or spells, either. And I’m definitely not keen on the idea of a flying broomstick to get around. I’d much rather take a stroll with you! But being a sweet, kind and loyal friend? That I can do! I am a little shy, it’s true, maybe even kinda timid, but hey, I’m still learning how to live my best life. Maybe you can help me with that!

Do you already have a dog? I am okay, if a bit reserved, around other dogs, though I haven’t met a little one yet. I think I could even make friends with your dog, given a bit of time and patience. I’m a sensitive soul, as you can probably tell by looking into my shiny eyes, but I bet you could help me feel reassured and safe. I am 5 years old, with velvety ears and a cutie-patootie snooty. I’m kind of the whole package; now all I’m looking for is a human bestie with a peaceful home to share with me. What do you think, is there maybe a Mildred-shaped hole in your heart that I could fill?

Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
