About Cheers Big Ears
Meet Cheers Big Ears aka Bert!
This stunning young man came in to us through no fault of his own. At only 18 months old he was surrendered as his owners could no longer take care of him - and we are heartbroken for him.
For the first few days Cheers Big Ears AKA Bert, stayed on his bed - refusing to interact with staff and just wanting to shy away. After a bit of love, patience and lots of treats, Bert now happily trots around The Shelter and spends his day hanging out in the office being the center of attention.
Bert is still shy, he takes a little bit of time to warm up but his true, gentle nature is starting to show. He is an angel indoors, and is fully toilet trained, making him a good option for those in an apartment that may want a doggo friend. He adores getting out and going for a walk - he just gets so excited when he sees the lead. Cheers Big Ears is happiest having a leisurely stroll around the neighbourhood and quite adores just to sit at your feet whether you are working away at the computer, sitting at a cafe having a coffee or even just watching TV.
Bert would prefer to be the only dog in the home. While he has met cats and dogs and shows no overly concerning behaviour - he is a little uncomfortable so for his own comfort we would love to see him be the object of your undivided attention.
This boy will need a warm, stable environment with a family that continues to work on building his confidence and understands it may take a little bit of time for him to sully settle in to a home.
If you would love to meet Cheers Big Ears, please pop in to The Lost Dogs' Home and meet him today.
(Please remember we operate on a walk in basis only and cannot facilitate any holds).
