About Maggie
*Adoption Application Pending*
Hello hoomans! I’m Maggie, a young bottle-fed female rescue kitten who is looking for a furever home. Do you think that might be you?
I’m currently living with my foster mum in Tingalpa. Whilst she loves me, she knows I need to find my furever home with my furever hoomans. She knows that I love love LOVE hoomans! Hoomans are my favourite. It is likely because I’ve been with hoomans from a teeny tiny neo kitten when hoomans fed me by bottle. I love cuddles, pats, laps, snuggles! You name it! When I get attention from hoomans, my purr engine goes full blast. I just can't get enough of hoomans, but I’m ok if the hoomans have to go out, too. I get it. I can’t be the centre of attention 100% of the time.
I love to play with all the toys and climb all the cat trees. I really like all the high spots in the cat trees. That is where you can find me when you are wondering where I am – fast asleep in a high cat tree. I like all food – wet, dry and I even have done raw feeding! I’m not fussy and I like it all. I’ve even been introduced once to a harness with a prior foster mum and I took to it after a few goes, so if my new hoomans wanted to try that again, I think I will soon get the hang of it again! I’m pretty quick to learn! I’m a smart cookie!
I don’t mind smaller dogs that are ok with cats. They don’t seem to worry me at all. I like the adult cats I share the foster home with and I got on good with the fosters who were my age or younger. I run and play with them no worries. And I don't mind when they want to groom me. I might growl a little at the start as I learn who they are but I’m not at all aggressive. My growl is just my way of saying “I’m a little scared but I want to know you”.
Pawprint Foundation Ltd and my foster mum have been taking extra special care of me as I get ready to find my furever family. At vet checks, they found that I have congenital mitral valve (MV) dysplasia, which are big fancy hooman words meaning that I have a leaky left heart valve. I will be having another ultrasound in April 2025 at The Cat Clinic to determine if any change, but the cost for this will be covered by Pawprint Foundation Ltd so don’t worry about that! The vet wasn’t overly concerned either as I’m still acting like a regular kitten and he said I could still live to a ripe old age chasing bugs and cuddling with my family, but everyone wants you to know up front because we don’t want any secrets. He even said it may right itself as I grow up! I’m just looking and hoping for that special furever family that will take the chance with me. I’m so worth it! I really really am!
If you would like to come meet me, I would love love LOVE to meet you! I will cover you in purrs, I promise! I just really hope you will love love LOVE me as well and we could be a family furever and ever. ❤️💜😻
Medical notes
When Maggie was being desexed, the vet noted a heart murmur. She had an ultrasound in April 2024 to confirm that she has congenital mitral valve (MV) dysplasia, meaning she has a leaky left heart valve. She will need to have another ultrasound in April 2025 at one of the three Cat Clinics, just to check status, and this will be paid for by Pawprint Foundation Ltd. It does NOT impact her at all. She is on no special medication. As the vet said, it may have rectified by the April 2025 scan. It may still be there and cause no impact. She may live a normal long healthy life. It certainly doesn't impact her life presently as she runs, plays, cuddles, purrs, eats, etc, just like any other kitten her age.
