About Murphy ππ
Hi, Iβm Murphy!
Iβm 1.5 years old and Iβm a super happy and playful little guy. I was in the pound for a really long time and was really anxious when I first arrived at my foster home. I was also sick at the time with cat flu and a tummy infection, but medication helped me and now I feel so much better! It took me a while to settle in with my foster mum and my foster sister cat because I had been through so much, but with a bit of love and gentleness from my foster mum, now I feel right at home and even have my favourite spots in the house. When the weather is super cold, I love curling up inside my foster mumβs warm puffer jacket on the couch.
You will often see me zooming around the house with excitement and playing with my foster cat sister in the house. I love playing with my foster sister but sometimes we donβt see eye to eye because she is so much older than me and I still have kitten energy. I LOVE playing with my foster mum in the crinkly cat tunnel.
Iβm very active but Iβm also the perfect mix of independent and cuddly. My favourite time of day (apart from meal times, of course!), is when my human is relaxing on the couch or at bedtime when I can snuggle up with them and get lots of head and neck scratches. When Iβm snuggling with my human I like to put my arm around their neck to give them a big hug while I fall asleep on their shoulder. My human says itβs pretty cute. I have a really cute, soft meow but a really big pur. Iβm pretty chatty - you will often hear me chirping away at my cat sister and foster mum. Iβm also a very good boy β I always use the kitty litter and I love scratching the cat tower rather than the carpet.
I would do very well in a house with another younger cat but I can also handle being by myself when my human goes to work. Whenever she comes home from work, Iβm relaxing on the couch and not anxious, but happy to see her come home. But I donβt like dogs β they are scary and I donβt understand them.
π§‘Likes: Catnip, my laser toy, head and neck scritches and Dine creamy treats β yum yum!
Dislikes: Being confined to small spaces, and car rides
I donβt do very well in new and confined spaces, especially after a car trip so I will probably be a different cat at an adoption day with lots of new sounds and smells. But I would love to meet you if you come and visit me at home! I love greeting people at the door, so please reach out and come meet me.

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
