About Squeaky
We are very busy at the moment with so many cats becoming available for adoption! We do aim to prepare a adoption profile for all our cats available for adoption, but while we get to it we don't want them to miss out on the opportunity of you clicking on their profile, so here is some common information to get you started! Be sure to take note of the cats age, breed, and any comments listed under the "suitability guide." Adult cats need less supervision for those who work compared to kittens. Cats with established personalities are better suited to homes with younger children. Your lifestyle will impact the sort of cat what will be best for you: If you work, If you have children or other animals, and the size of your living space. What about their coat? Decide if you want long, medium, or short-haired cat. A long coat will require some combing on your part to fight matting! And not all cats like to be groomed. Consider their personality - Look for a feline who's easy-going and responds to you Kittens should be active, outgoing, and willing to be handled A feline who likes a quiet place in the shelter will probably also like a quiet space in the home. If you are keen to meet one of our cats who has not yet got an adoption profile, we encourage you to call and make an appointment, and we can show you a few cats who might be suited to your needs.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
