About Lucy SUA012308
Meet Lucy, a delicate, soft-hearted feline with a deep love for her safe spaces, routine, and companionship. With her gentle nature, Lucy requires a bit of time to settle into new environments. Once she finds her comfort zone, Lucy's affectionate personality shines through, revealing a gorgeous girl with a boundless capacity for love and companionship.
Lucy’s love language stretches beyond a fondness for her human friends; she adores the company of other felines. She will genuinely benefit from having a confident feline friend in her new family who can guide her and offer comfort in times of stress. Through such friendships, Lucy's own bright nature stands a chance to shine brighter.
She takes great pleasure in the little pleasures of life; a well-plotted routine, a quiet afternoon grazing on her favourite kibble, and the captivating allure of a scrunched-up piece of paper will keep Lucy purring contentedly. Her appreciation of a consistent daily schedule makes her a well-mannered and predictable companion who will undoubtedly bring a sense of calm to any household.
Above all, Lucy cherishes time spent by her people's side, offering reassurance and comfort in exchange for strokes. Granted, she might need a little time to warm up to you, but once she does, the bond you will create will be unbreakable.
Lucy is currently in foster care having a break from the busy shelter life. If you would like more information about Lucy or wish to meet her please contact our Foster Care Co-Ordinator’s -Email foster@catprotection.com.au
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
